Formal Male Kimono – Parts of a Kimono

Kimonos are a major portion of Japanese culture and history. Most people know of them, and probably have seen one or two on the odd occasion (mostly on TV or in a movie). So here I present to you, a close up look at a formal Male Kimono. Here I will try to explain and order then for you as to explain how they go.

Please note though, that am I in no means an expert at dressing in a kimono. I have only worn a kimono twice in my life, and both times have been in the past 2 days. Though it this post I won’t describe how to dress in one. This is only a post about the parts of a formal guys Kimono.

Before we get started, this is how I look in my kimono. Sadly, it’s poorly on as it was my first attempt (which took me an hour to figure out … especially with all three belts I used).

Panoramic Shots from Oahu, Hawaii

Most of you know I went to Hawaii a little while ago. Other’s of you know I like photography … a lot. So, whenever my father and/or I get a chance we try to take some panoramic shots. Suffice it to say we aren’t experts at it so some come out not-so-great. Though after a little Photoshop’ing they can look rather professional. For those of interest, here are some quicky-panoramics. They haven’t been processed yet, only spliced together. Here is one I took at some private nature preserve … I don’t remember what it’s name is though ::shrug::

After party thoughts

Come one, come all. Gather ’round an’ listen to me tale of lore, truth and booze. Thank you all who came to the party last night. All of you made it a fun success. I also have to apologize for the small food mix-up. Even with that things went smoothly. Thankfully no one died, the house is still standing and I’m only short one wine glass! WOOT! A lot better than expected. What I’m really amazed at is that the 360 didn’t burn it/short/break. Luck +1 for me.

I don't think WP SEO is all about just the 'SEO'. I'm rather sure a good part of it is the actual design of the page. Of course the keywords, tags and everything like that is important. Though it's also important how the site looks.

If it weren't the case, no one would ever change their design. Also, you would never hear such a thing like "The new site redesign increased our conversion by 15%". Thus, looks have to be a important and integral part of SEO.

So what makes a good SEO design? That is a darn good question. I'd sure like to find it out. Until I know how, I'm going to go by the idea that functionality is the most important aspect. Also, I'm looking at some of the blogs from the top marketers and trying to integrate their designs into my blog.

Hope this turns into a nice business venture. Yey for 'another' social media platform that we'll have to use.
