“Simple Tags can’t work with this WordPress version!” Solved For WP 2.9
Less than a month ago WordPress version 2.9 rolled out. It came with some fancy new features and a few bug fixes. Though it also broke a few things. One of the best plugins for WP around is called “Simple Tags”.
Simple Tags helps you put tags on your posts or pages with more ease. It has auto-complete and tag searching. Meaning that it can find tags for you via Yahoo or ‘the web’ or even search through your own tags. Very neat plugin and a must have for the serious blogger.
The problem is that Simple Tags is not made to work with Wordpress 2.9 … yet. So, we have to work around it. and it’s a very simple work around.

Facebook brought revolution to the social media market. It made things simple, clean, and efficient. Problem is, with some applications there are problems with spam.
Now this is not spam as in “Buy V1Agra”, but spam as in useless annoying news feeds posts that the applications make. These types of posts are automatically generated by these applications to let your friends. This can be interesting for a while or if you are actually interested in the application/game. Though, most of us are not. Plus, must of these are from applications like FarmVille and Mafia Wars (and the like) which have been dubbed: ScamVille. Their business practices are even publicly tauted as under-handed, immoral and possibly illegal.
But how to fix things on your end? Easy. There are two main ways to stop ever seeing those pesky ScamVille posts ever again on your wall/news feed. The first way is to “Hide” the posts (recommended first way) and the 2nd way is to have specialized Friends lists. I explain both below.

XBMC has finally hit it’s latest milestone release: 9.11 Camelot. This release marks a great step forward in the media world. Why? Because this release offers plenty of space to create plugins, skins and plenty more.
If you are using Ubuntu or any variant of it, you will already have the update ready in your repository. Simply update the source list and upgrade. In Kubuntu, KpackageIt should handle it nicely. If you don’t have it installed yet, head over to XBMC’s download page to get it.
Here are some of the highlighted updates in this milestone release:
- Improved skin framework
- Better support for multi-monitor displays
- Updated FFmpeg libraries
- Added Flash support
- UPnP support
- Updated and added a lot of scrapers for music and movie information
